The basic OSHA 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide attendees with broad awareness on the fundamentals of OSHA, differences in Federal and State OSH programs, and effective tools and awareness that aid in recognizing and preventing hazards in the workplace.
Attendees to our custom tailored sessions will be introduced to safety and health principles and work practices covered in the OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and further refined for specific conditions familiar to 14 CFR Part 91, 125 and 135 Operators and FBOs. In addition to learning about safety and health hazards in the aviation workplace, Attendees will also learn about OSHA, employer responsibilities, and worker rights. Our Course will also provide deeper insight into:
- Hazard Recognition
- Avoidance
- Abatement
- Prevention
Special emphasis will be placed on areas of potential hazards found within aviation and traditional areas of operation using OSHA regulatory standards as a guide. We will also address relevant state OSH programs and specific requirements such as the Injury & Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) and linkage to IS-BAO and the Safety Management System (SMS).
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach course completion card within 8 weeks or so of course completion.
The 10-Hour course is taught over two days by two instructors who will embroider the training with real-world scenarios and graphics to enable comprehension and application to each attendee’s home base.
